ARTIST IDENTITY & DISCLOSURE

An AI persona and an AI-assisted song are different things.

Spotify’s announcement introduces an AI Persona badge for artist identities that may be generated rather than represent a real person. The announcement distinguishes public artist identity from the process used to make music; AI credits address the latter.

What to take from it: Research identity, disclosure, and music-delivery requirements separately. Do not treat a general AI policy as a complete release checklist.

COMMERCIAL-USE TERMS

Recheck the rights attached to your songs and downloads.

Suno’s paid-subscription help page says songs downloaded while subscribed receive commercial-use rights. Its August 2026 changes FAQ also describes download limits and the September rollout. The help page expressly notes that commercial-use permission does not guarantee copyright protection.

What to take from it: Preserve the terms applying to your music, the relevant dates, and your plan evidence. Check current wording rather than relying on an old summary.
